AI Friction-Free is a brand and a book about using AI tools to reclaim your time — specifically aimed at the people most AI books overlook: busy parents, busy professionals, and family caregivers.
About Marin Veld.
Marin Veld is a pen name.
Marin reads the AI books so you don't have to. After watching too many friends, family members, and colleagues drown in AI overwhelm — buying tools they didn't use, copying prompts that didn't work, building setups that collapsed within weeks — Marin spent two years testing what actually fits real lives. AI Friction-Free is the result.
When not writing, Marin spends weekends running long trails, cooking with whatever's in the fridge, and reading novels published before the internet existed. Lives in the Pacific Northwest, within walking distance of a coffee shop that has stubbornly refused to optimize itself.
Why a pen name?
Three reasons, in honest order:
- Privacy. The author's day job, family situation, and physical location are private. The work is the point; the author isn't.
- Brand-first publishing. Friction-Free Press is built around the brand and the work, not a personality. If the brand expands later (Book 2, additional authors under the same imprint), the structure already supports it.
- 2026 reader-trust environment. In an industry where AI-headshot author photos and AI-cadenced bios have become an instant trust killer, the cleaner choice is to lead with the work and disclose the pen name transparently. Pseudonymous publishing has a long history; this is the modern version.
Reader replies to hello@aifrictionfree.com reach a human (Marin) directly. The pen name is the public-facing identity; the human responsibility is the same as if everything were under a real name.
